The Animal Ball 2016: The best headgear from the event
Partying on the wild side!
A few nights ago, an event took place that returned A-list stars back to nature, and transformed them into fabulous animals. We are, of course, talking about The Animal Ball, which was held at over 40 venues (yes, really) all around London – now that’s what we call an extravagant party!
But why give this soiree such a primal title? Well, for those of you not familiar with the ball, it’s actually a fundraiser held in aid of saving elephants, lions, gorillas, and blue whales from extinction (hence why guests were given animal-inspired headpieces to wear). From sultry masks to zoological headgear, the celebs in attendance pulled out all the stops when it came to their chosen attire. Don’t believe us? Then keep on scrolling and feast your eyes on our fave hair accessories from the night!
The Animal Ball: Our favourite headdresses
Anna Friel
English actress Anna Friel sure did pick the most daring of accessories to rock at the event! Donning a regal bird headpiece, the star resembled a white swan, and looked as though she might suddenly take flight in her stunning floor-length gown.
The extravagant headdress featured masses of soft feathering and dainty beads, which delicately hung down onto Anna’s face. And we have to say, with that embellished accessory perched upon her head, Anna definitely stole the show for us! Credit: @annafriel
Sinitta
TV personality Sinitta decided to leave the frill and feathers to the other guest, and instead opted for a giraffe mask, which was placed around her oversized hair bun (because the bigger, the better, right?). But just because she chose to go for a no-fuss finish, that’s not to say she didn’t slay in her outfit: Sinitta completed her animal look with a glitzy brown dress, beaded droplet earrings, and a killer pair of heels! Elizabeth Hurley
At the most refined Asian seafood restaurant, Sexy Fish, in Mayfair, model and actress Elizabeth Hurley was spotted in an appropriately-coloured aquatic dress, which she paired with a shimmering bronze and gold headpiece! And underneath her headdress, the star’s soft brown balayage hair had been styled into luscious, tumbling waves – mimicking the movement of the sea, are we Liz? Credit: @elizabethhurley1
Martine Lervik
Up and coming model Martine Lervik chose to take things down a notch for the charity ball, and donned a more subtle, sequinned black masquerade mask, which she placed neatly over her wavy, red-tinged hair. Doesn’t sounds very animal-like? Well, the stylish accessory featured a single black feather that protruded from the top – how’s that for understated elegance? Credit: @martinelervik
