Vanessa Kirby at the SAG Awards

Vanessa Kirby’s chain plait is giving us major hair goals

She's spruced up her updo with some jewellery!

British actress Vanessa Kirby, who has starred in the film About Time, shot to fame last year thanks to her role in Netflix’s The Crown. Last Sunday, the Londoner flew the flag for the UK, attending the SAG Awards in Hollywood with fellow co-stars Claire Foy and Matt Smith. While the three were eagerly awaiting to see if they’d managed to scoop up any awards, our attention was firmly fixated on Vanessa’s beautiful chain plait hairstyle! If you’re yet to catch a glimpse of her blinged up ‘do, just keep scrolling.

Fans of The Crown will be used to seeing Vanessa sporting dark brown hair for her role as Princess Margaret, but off-set, the star is actually a blondie! For the SAG Awards, Vanessa’s medium-length tresses were styled into a beautiful braided updo. At the front, you can see that a few face-framing strands have been left hanging loose for a romantic vibe.

However, it was when she turned around that we really took note. Why? Well, proving that jewellery can work just as well in hair as it can do on your body, Vanessa incorporated a knotted string of silver chains to her updo. The metallic jewellery was woven through her textured French braid, and paired perfectly with her silver gown. Credit: @leletny

We’ve noticed hair accessories cropping up quite a lot recently, and it looks like they’re set to be a major trend this spring/summer. For example, Kristen Stewart just rocked a sporty headband at a premiere, and we’re already seeing more hair accessories feature in major fashion shows, including Dolce & Gabbana‘s Spring 2017 Haute Couture show!
