Jessica Alba is bringing bandanas back – and we’re totally with her

American actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba is renowned for always having amazing, salon-worthy hair. At every stage of her career, she’s experimented with different cuts, styles and colours (remember when she had blonde, wavy hair?). But now that she’s a mum of two, the star seems to have taken a step back from the drastic hair changes, and instead looked to hair accessories to switch up her look. Jessica Alba rocks a hair bandana

Taking to Instagram to share her hairstyle, Jessica posted the above picture, where her hair is tied into a high, casual ponytail. Her pony comes complete with a black and white-patterned bandana, which has been tied into a chic little bow. And we have to say, we’re big fans of this Jessica Alba hair look.

We wonder whether Jessica drew her inspiration from vintage hairstyles? During the ’40s, practical accessories were often worn in the hair. Why? Well, because during World War II, luxuries weren’t available, so due lack of resources, women had to make do with what they had at home. That’s where bandanas and scarfs came into play. Bandanas can spruce up any kind of updo: from messy buns to pigtails to loose, flowing waves. Just be sure to tie them into cute bows, like Jessica Alba!
