Alicia Vikander’s mane moments: See the newlywed’s prettiest hair highlights
No-one does red carpet beauty quite like Alicia.
It seems wedding bells are in the air this week! Not only have Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas just announced their engagement, but it has now been revealed that Hollywood actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender also tied the knot in Ibiza over the weekend.
Considering how gorgeous Alicia always looks on the red carpet, we couldn’t help but wonder how she wore her hair for the occasion. So while we wait to see if any photos from the big day will be revealed, we’re taking a look back through some of her most memorable mane moments.
From Oscar-winning updos to an effortlessly cool lob, see which of Alicia’s styles we rate the most, below.

Twisted bun
Alicia may still have been a relative newcomer to Hollywood when she stepped out at the 2016 Golden Globes, but she proved she was already a red carpet pro with this elegant ensemble.
With her signature brunette strands styled into a delicate twisted bun and paired with a white toga-inspired gown, she looked like a total goddess.
Editor’s tip: Thinking of copying Alicia’s twisted updo for prom or even a friend’s wedding? Remember to lock your look in place with the VO5 Sublime Sleek Creation Hairspray once you’re done and you won’t have to worry about it coming loose on the dancefloor.
Half-up princess hair
From Grecian goddess to Disney princess, Alicia was perfectly poised to accept her Oscar for The Danish Girl with this princess-worthy style.
Channelling one of our favourite A-list hair trends, the hun (AKA the half-up bun), she finished off the look with some natural-looking waves. Us, jealous? Never!
Bubble ponytail
Proving that even the humble ponytail can be red carpet appropriate with a little tweaking, Alicia wore her hair in this fun bubble ponytail at a London premiere.
Adding extra oomph and volume with a little backcombing, there’s an unkempt finish to this look that we simply love.
Editor’s tip: For hair that’s freshly washed, we recommend prepping your strands with the TRESemmé Perfectly (Un)Done Sea Salt Spray before attempting this style.
This will give your strands the grit and grip they need to create a messy, undone texture in no time, without leaving your hair sticky.
Classic Hollywood waves
As we all know, Hollywood waves are a rite of passage for any actress hitting the red carpet, and Alicia certainly made her mark with these gorgeously glossy, side-swept curls.
Letting her hair do the talking, she pulled her tumbling locks over her shoulder and kept the rest of her makeup minimal for a timeless look. Kudos, Alicia!
Editor’s tip: The key to adding shine to your hair without it looking greasy, is to apply a few drops of a hair oil or serum.
Try running a few drops of the TONI&GUY High Shine Serum Drops through your curls after styling and not only will you achieve that enviable shine, but it’ll slick down any frizz and flyaways, too.
Soft side bangs
As someone who doesn’t usually sport a fringe, we were surprised to see Alicia rocking these soft, split bangs at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. However, as you can see, she pulled them off with ease.
The brow-skimming cut complemented her deep brown eyes perfectly, proving once again that she can do anything to her hair and still look like total goals.
Wavy bob
Following in the footsteps of stars like Emilia Clarke, Alicia ditched her flowing locks for a more modern lob cut earlier this year. Styled into undulating waves, she wore one side of her hair tucked behind her ear to show off her showstopping emerald and ruby earrings. ?
